One Piece Manga 1177 Review

Read One Piece Manga Free Chapter 1177 Review On MangaRoyale, Catch the latest manga releases chapter with high-quality images. Online read NOW! Man, Eiichiro Oda really wasn't kidding when he titled this chapter "Furious."

If you've been following the Elbaf arc, you already know the stakes have been skyrocketing week by week, but Chapter 1177 just completely shattered the ceiling. We are finally getting the payoff to plotlines that have been brewing for literally decades. From mysterious science to brutal teamwork, and an emotional peak that will go down in One Piece history, this chapter has it all. Let’s break down exactly what makes this chapter such an absolute banger.

Chopper’s Mysterious Feat and Straw Hat Teamwork

The chapter kicks off with high-octane action as Zoro’s group clashes directly with the Dr. Giant Army. But the real standout in this skirmish is our favorite reindeer. Chopper goes into Monster Point and lands a massive strike on one of the Dr. Giants and something incredibly bizarre happens: the giant reverts to its normal form.

This is huge lore-wise. Is the gigantification of the Dr. Giant Army an artificial enhancement or a chemical state that Chopper’s raw medical knowledge (or perhaps the physiological shock of a Monster Point strike) can somehow neutralize? Chopper curing or reversing forced gigantification has been a running theme since Punk Hazard, so seeing it applied on the battlefield of Elbaf feels incredibly rewarding.Meanwhile, on the other side of the chaos, Sanji’s group is putting in absolute work against Killingham. Seeing Sanji, Franky, and Jinbe coordinate like this is a treat. They aren't just fighting; they are dismantling their opponent. Sanji hands Killingham’s head over to Jinbe while he and Franky tie up his legs, completely neutralizing his terrifying regeneration abilities. The image of Killingham screaming in agony, utterly restrained, shows that the Straw Hats aren't playing games anymore. They are a Yonko crew, and they fight like one.

Usopp’s Defining Elbaf Moment

This is it. This is the moment Usopp fans have been waiting for since the Little Garden arc.

Usopp regroups with Brook, but they find themselves staring down the absolute worst-case scenario: Imu. Naturally, both of them get completely washed. But it’s what happens after the beatdown that defines the chapter.

Instead of playing dead or running away, a battered, furious Usopp forces himself to stand. In front of the shadowy ruler of the entire world, Usopp shouts that Elbaf is the Land of Warriors. He calls Imu out on their cowardly tactics, demanding that if Imu wants to destroy them, they need to fight with their own hands directly.

One Piece Manga 1177 Scans

I got literal chills reading this spoiler. Usopp, the man whose dream was to become a "Brave Warrior of the Sea," just stood up to the final boss of the One Piece universe to defend the honor of the giants. It’s a brilliant juxtaposition: the physically weakest Straw Hat displaying the strongest willpower in the room.

He follows up his speech by firing a massive explosive shot point-blank at Imu. Unfortunately, courage doesn't equal power. Imu’s speed is terrifyingly unfathomable. Before the attack even registers, Imu appears right in front of him. The resulting explosion catches everyone in the blast radius, leaving both Usopp and Brook completely unconscious. It’s a tragic, brutal reminder of the terrifying gap in power between the Straw Hats and the World Government's hidden king.

The Climax: Luffy vs. Imu

The final pages shift focus to Luffy, and the chapter's title "Furious" suddenly takes on its true meaning. Seeing Usopp and Brook his precious crewmates beaten and unconscious on the ground completely shatters Luffy's usual goofy demeanor. He is absolutely livid.

And then, Imu drops a line that is going to keep theory crafters busy for months:

"Nika and Nidhogg. Either choose to give up or die. This battle will divide the world."

Let’s unpack that. We know Luffy is Nika, the Sun God. But who or what is Nidhogg? In Norse mythology (which heavily inspires Elbaf), Nidhogg is a monstrous dragon that gnaws at the roots of Yggdrasil, the World Tree. Is Imu referring to themselves as Nidhogg, the destroyer of the world's foundation? Or is Nidhogg another entity entirely? Regardless, the ultimatum is chilling, and it sets the stage for a world-shaking confrontation.

Final Thoughts

The Editor’s Note says it all: "At last they meet in person!" We have finally reached the summit. Luffy and Imu are face-to-face. No more silhouettes, no more proxy wars through the Gorosei or the Marines. The King of the Pirates against the King of the World. Chapter 1177 flawlessly balances giving the crew their time to shine with pushing the main narrative forward at breakneck speed. Usopp cemented his legacy, the crew showed their Yonko-level competence, and the final battle has seemingly begun.

And the best part? No break next week.

Would you like me to help you draft a script for a YouTube video review based on this, or would you prefer to brainstorm some theories about what "Nidhogg" might represent in the One Piece world?

I mean, all of Usopp’s epic moments are his brave speeches while he’s terrified and probably about to die.

That’s his character arc. He’s a coward trying to become a brave warrior of the sea, and he just shit talked a demon before trying to fight it. He also went in no hesitation against Gunko.

This has been a great character progression arc for Usopp. He went from Luffy shit talking him for still being a pussy to bravely confronting a god knight and then the head of the WG itself all in one arc. He doesn’t (always) cry out for help, now he’s the one who leaps in to help.

I know some of us are disappointed about some strawhats, but seeing some of the insults here is a bit too much.
It's going to be fine. We're going to get to final war, and everyone's going to have a great moment. But outside of war arcs, the standard arcs are going to have the critical ones removed so that the actually vulnerable ones can fumble in order to get the direness up a bit.

Regarding the spoilers, there are definitely some interesting things.
Chopper reverting a giant: Really need to see how the panel is laid out. My fanboy heart wants to believe its something to do with Chopper being in an awakened form or the Rumble Ball radiating and distorting Imu's devil fruit wavelengths. But, it's probably something way more mundane that the leaker misinterpreted.

The Sanji and head line. I'm going to assume Jibe is just holding Killingham's dragon head/ upper body down while the others tie. I doubt anyone got beheaded. Killingham being unable to regen is wild! Did Sanji's flame have a new property, or did he anger himself into CoC?

Brook is apparently still standing after the first clash. Usopp's moment here is good enough. I'm all for warrior mentalities, but those mentalities don't win war, and instead cause captains to fight each other for decades while things fall apart elsewhere. Imu's right to fight like a general as opposed to a "warrior."

Chopper and Sanji's moments are interesting to me. I wonder how it actually looks.

Aside from Zoro that is top-tier without Devil fruit, all other human without Devil fruit and without haki are weak... I'm a little disappointed that he simply don't do anything, you know, he did a lot of developments for Nami clima-tact, all he did on Going Mary to keep it on till Water Seven, the Dials from skypiea... He can use it but it's been idk, 900 chapters since he last used it...

At least i expect Luffy to go serious once, even when fighting against Kaido, Gorosei... He's always doing naive things and not going all out (IMO), i hope seeing his nakama on dirt make he take it and avenge they.

Chopper reverting DR Giant will be due to his devil fruit, as it was hinted when BB was hunting strong DF users and Chopper said he must be careful, as a gag, but it will turn out it isn't a gag.
Wouldn't be surprised if it will be a sort of mythical zoan, something to do with enlightenment through his awakening, which Rumble Ball most likely mimics.

Not sure it was ever confirmed that being DR made one immortal.
It made you strong, that much we know, it also made you evil and to align with Imu.
So, Chopper reverting a DR giant would only prove he's strong... don't think they're immortal.
Doubt Chopper has Haki.

The Holy Knights, that's a completely different thing, they're definitely immortal.
I don't think it's odd if Sanji has developed King's Haki and using it here, it'd be off if he didn't have King's Haki.

Boy, oh boy Holy Knights (or rather Knight because Sommers is probably done for if his thorns just fell off the children randomly) indeed gets "holy beating", heh. Thing about Domi Reversi in this chapter is rather curious if Chopper of all people was able to undo it. Guess since he’s a doctor he know where to hit to instantly kill but there's other thing: Did he reversed back only that one giant he killed or once one was reversed rest started to go back to normal too? You know, like when they were turning into demons in waves just because they were to close to already turned giants. Also it's nice that Usopp have his moment but yeeeaaah, his slingshot isn't big enough for him to talk back like that to IMU of all people. But if Usopp getting his ass whopped will get Luffy more serious then I guess this work. No offence for any Usopp fans but I lost my hope for Usopps REAL big moment long time ago. Btw, Imu must be really pissed if he/she overwrited Shuris will that started to burst through at sight of Brook. But deffinetly he wasn't taken seriously if he is beaten but not dead. Well, it's hard to kill someone who is already dead. Anyway, Nami must be in really "fighty" mood if she was bold enough to scold not just Luffy which is completly normal but also LOKI. Like, girl see him first time and he's not even in his normal form and is like: Look what have you done. You started fire with your stupid lightnings! 😡 I forgot that Nami despit being almost as cowardly as Usopp dosen't give a damn about anything whenever children are in danger. Not even Elbafs prince who have power of ginormous thunder dragon compared to which Kaido look like gummy worm. And also bold of Imu to even think that he/she can demand surrender from Luffy and Loki. Imu was afraid return of Nika for 800 years (and fact that Loki is with him also dosen't help) so what makes him/her think Luffy is afraid of anything at this point? Plus Luffys power seem to grew a lot since it showed first time against Kaido. Back then he was barely able to affect immediate surroundings but now Luffy made whole Elbaf sway like tall grass in the wind. Sure, he still need to work on himself because he still isn't on Joyboys or even Shanks power level but it seems like he's getting closer. Oh, and it's hilarious that Killingham got Buggy treatment. Well, even though Sanji didn't awakened anything it looks like he still did his job. Aaand on that note, I don't think Killingham is going anywhere or will summon any more of nightmares.

I was hoping there'd be actual fights but these Gods knight are literally just being torn apart left and right. I really wanted fights but this. This is very satisfying to see these assholes get fodderized once actual strong opponents are here.

Imu is ready to throw hands, which completely debunks the idea that they might be 'afraid' of Joy Boy or anyone else. Perhaps the only thing that truly terrifies them is the hidden power of the 'D the hype for 1178 is already off the charts.

It seems like a meeting between Imu and any other deity is an apocalyptic event... very interesting. I believe there’s going to be a brutal showdown until something gives on one of the sides. I think we'll have an apocalypse soon the promised day is coming - and for sure this is a little "showdown" of the final war - for sure, we're so close to the one piece right now.

Imagine Loki's face and reaction to: the heck is this ant yelling at me and why am I afraid?

Usop has a moment finally, this is good. He shades on Imu and proceeds to attack. Scared, but still, he does it. I hope this near death experience unlocks something.

I wonder if Chopper just... Smacks the giant and breaks its neck or something.

I still have a feeling that this has to do with a board game rule. You know the one where they flip over the other players pieces to win but you can revert them back depending on moves. The boardgame with pieces has been shown multiple times before. In wano with the CP0. And even when the giants were first reversed.

Lastly, I can't wait to see them 2 Vs Imu. This is gonna be crazy good.

Powerscaling discourse misses the forest for the trees, as always. ussop punching above his weight class- narratively or Fight Fight Pew Pew-wise is perfectly fine by me. what i don't like is that every single time a wildly powerful character neutralizes a weaker Strawhat, they'll have to be conveniently tied up or otherwise delicately restrained instead of utterly maimed and annihilated like every other threat would be. Kaidou had the built-in excuse of "wants to turn strong rookies into subordinates" but that got REAL flimsy after Speed, Tama, Kin'emon, and even Guernica survived for absolutely zero reason. Imu? There is no such flimsy excuse, and I worry that Brook being in Gunko's backstory is just a reason to have Imu unable to outright kill the Strawhats when they have every chance over and over.

ImuGunko just tying up the Strawhats instead of obliterating them is way more indicative of where this story's scaling is going than whether or not Ussop can solonodiffeasynegwhatever Imu.
